Announcing: Extra Credit
With Syllabi, my goal is to provide focused bundles of informative, educational, and stimulating reading material. In pursuit of this I read thousands of words every week across a spectrum of subjects — science, media, literature, sport, math, language, you name it. Not everything is expansive enough or broad enough that it can be bundled into a feature post, so I’m launching Extra Credit, a subscription service where I’ll be curating the best of the rest of what I’ve read.
My hope is that this helps relieve the reader’s burden of trying to separate the wheat from the chaff when looking for intelligent reading material online. You can see an example of what these round-ups will look like here and here, though subscribers can expect these to be longer most weeks.
For now, plans are monthly or quarterly, and start at $1/week, but I’ll add more options if there’s sufficient demand. This service is made possible by Memberly, who are running a wonderful service — you should take a look at some of their featured subscription programs.
